Angel Wall Hanging for PMW 2010

Hello and Happy Wednesday to everyone!  Just a quick note and a couple of pictures to show you another project that will be offered at Primitives of the Midwest this July.  This Angel wall hanging is pieced fabric with wool appliqué angels.  Primitive and plain these angels will guard over you when you make it and hang it in your home.  There is a wool star in the middle with geese made from HSTs that are stitched between the blocks.  Each angel has two fun buttons embellishing her dress.  Homemade rick-rack can be seen across the bottom of her dress.  She can be dressed up with more embellishments - like fun embroidery stitches or left plain.  I hope you will come play with me at this wonderful Primitive Gathering this summer - July 2010

Both this pattern and the May Baskets table runner will become patterns this fall.  Oh, and take a peek at my sewing doll on the blog homepage....top left hand corner.  She's so very helpful when I sew.  She holds my spool of thread as her necklace, she has a patch buttoned on the back for needles.  She carries scissors in the waist band of her clothing and has a fun wool sunflower attached to her as well.   She likes to be pinned and never has to worry about her hair.........rusty safety pins hold it all together.  You can meet her too at PMW.
