Had to share.....

I just had to share Kathy's, from Florida,  Block Party quilt.
This quilt pattern was born after the pieced blocks were made for
a special project for cancer awareness.  It represents the houses in all the neighborhoods around the globe that helped with this project.
You can see pictures of those quilts on my website.
Click on the telegraph button and it will take you to the link.
I am so very proud of everyone that made this version.
It is a lot of piecing, but look at the fun result.
Kathy finished her quilt at the Old Green Cupboard retreat in
Jacksonville, Florida.
She had lots of encouragement from all the gals attending.

Kathy you did a wonderful job!
thanks so much for sharing your quilt with all of us.

Stars on a Tin Roof

I am always excited to receive pictures from others that have made something from my pattern line.  Two friends, Janice Chang and Ginny Sage both made Stars on a Tin Roof and I couldn't wait to share how different each of them are.   Janice love working with Batiks and Ginny likes more a primitive style.  What's fun is that any pattern can be made into any fabric that makes us the happiest.
They both turned out lovely and I'm so happy you shared pictures with all of us.

MARCH MADNESS of another kind....

It's hard to believe it's March already.  I hope you are keeping up with how fast everything is happening!  The Easter bunny will be here before we know it!  DO YOU HAVE YOUR WABBITS made? I'd love to share pictures if you send me some!

Happy Birthday to all the March gals and guys...........reporting in today who the March birthday winner is:

(Diane, please let me know which pattern you would like me to send to you for being the winner!)

The 2012-13 Block party is coming to an end.  If you have not already mailed your blocks for this years breast cancer project, please do so.  They need to reach me by April 5th.  After the April 5th deadline we will be stitching the blocks together.  Can't wait to share the quilts made with all of you.

Your contribution to this project means so much.  Together we can make a difference.

I have been awarded the Liebster Blog Award by Diane Dunder from Gingham Leaf Designs, a wonderfully creative spirit.  You can visit Diane's blog by going to and/or her website:

This award is given to bloggers who inspire you and have less than 200 followers. The Liebster Award takes its name from the German word meaning ‘Beloved, Dearest or Favorite’. I’m so honored to receive this award.

As part of the tradition it is passed along to 5 bloggers that have motivated and inspired.

To accept the award you must:

1. Link back to the person who gave it to you and thank them.

2. Post the award to your blog.

3. Give the award to 5 bloggers with less than 200 followers that you appreciate and value.

4. Leave a comment on the 5 blogs to let them know that they have been offered this award.

Five for me:
1.Cheryl Wall from who is a soul-mate from Canada.  Her style is so much fun!

2. Melanie Pinney from  who is my friend.  She works full time and still finds time to share her talent with the rest of us with her fun patterns.

3. Carol Crago from who is a dear friend that has always motivated me.  She is always there to lend a helping hand with the breast cancer quilts I'm involved in.

4. Stacy West from who is my friend and one of the most creative people I've met.

I love getting pictures.....

Angela Brady of Homespun Gatherings in Ash, NC sent me some pictures to share with everyone.   She's been a busy gal..

Top picture is A Little Porch Time (She put her dog by the watering can and his paws on the left hand's so much fun to see everyone personalize this quilt to make it their own!) and on the left is May Baskets.  The bottom picture is of Aunt Ree's Raspberry Jam and on the left The Bundling Board.

Love them all Angela!  Thanks so much for sharing with us.
